Senior Property Accountant (Hybrid)

Position Overview

Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is currently seeking a skilled Senior Property Accountant to join their esteemed team in California. This role requires a proficient individual with strong expertise in Yardi and Excel, who can effectively manage accounting responsibilities for the company's property portfolio. The ideal candidate will be able to work collaboratively with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the financial accounting and reporting for a portfolio of properties.
  • Utilize Yardi software to maintain accurate property accounting records.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
  • Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
  • Assist with budget preparation and variance analysis.
  • Collaborate with property managers to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Prepare and submit financial reports to stakeholders and management.
  • Ensure compliance with all accounting policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Property Accountant or in a similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in Yardi software.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to use complex formulas and pivot tables.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills for interaction with team members and stakeholders.

Required Work Hours

Monday to Friday, first shift.

Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary range with a minimum pay of $90,000 and a maximum pay of $105,000 per year, along with comprehensive benefits that include health insurance, retirement plans, and professional development opportunities.

The role is based in California and requires the candidate to be onsite.
